If you're waiting for electrified Range Rover, Defender, or Discovery models for your travels throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, you might have less time to wait than anticipated. The brands have an evolving approach to electrification that could put you in the driver's seat before you know it. Here's what we know about Range Rover, Defender, and Discovery electrification.

Next-Gen Mid-Size SUV Will Be All-Electric

An investment valued at £15 billion ($20 billion) over five years is helping to bring an exciting new electrified SUV to the portfolio. The next-generation electrified modular architecture (EMA) will be the basis for the all-electric Range Rover model. Separately, an electrified Range Rover model is scheduled to launch in 2025 – and Garfield County shoppers will be able to pre-order later this year.

To drive home the automaker's all-electric goals even further, the brand's Wolverhampton, UK, factory gets a new name, too. Formerly the Engine Manufacturing Center, it will henceforth be renamed the Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Center. While we're a ways off from seeing fully-electrified versions of vehicles like the new Discovery, plans are certainly in motion for electrified and off-road ready luxury SUVs.
