If you should find yourself on the side of the road with a spare tire, you'll likely find one of two types of spares in the back of your vehicle. We'd like to share the difference between these types with our Land Rover Roaring Fork customers.

You've probably heard the compact temporary spare tire referred to as a donut. This spare is smaller in size than your normal tires. It's meant to be a temporary measure and should be replaced as soon as you can get to a service station. Also, take care not to drive over 55 miles per hour to be safe. These compact spares are convenient for smaller vehicles.

You can drive as you normally would with a full-size spare tire. One downside of this type of spare is that it takes up a lot of room in the trunk or back of your vehicle. Be sure to incorporate it into your regular tire rotation once installed.
