Having a dead battery is one of the worst things that can happen when you are trying to drive in Glenwood Springs. Though there often are no signs your battery is about to fail, you can test it to see if it might need to be replaced.

To test your battery, shut the car off and leave your headlights on for 15 minutes. While you are waiting, inspect the battery for any signs of leaks or corrosion. Once you have waited 15 minutes, start your car and repeatedly crank the engine. If your headlights dim significantly or if your car seems to start slowly, it's a sign that the battery may be failing and needs to be replaced.

Of course, the surefire way to see if your battery is going bad is to have it tested by a professional. We here at Land Rover Roaring Fork are happy to test your battery and replace it if necessary.
