Road Salt Stays Around Long After a Snow Storm

Each year, drivers navigate through wintery conditions and deal with the aftermath of very treacherous snow storms. And, the road salt used in those storms can leave a lasting impact. It literally eats away the clear coat of the exterior paint, which can cause corrosion.

As soon as the weather permits, you should get a cash wash to remove the road salt. An automatic car wash is your best choice; however, if you have to revert to a bucket of warm water to remove the salt, that's much better than leaving it on your vehicle for an extended time. Your garage is an ideal place for manual removing the salt while staying out of the cold temperatures. Additionally, for preventive measures, be sure to wax your vehicle every six months to add an extra layer of clear coat protection.

Please stay safe and remember to contact Land Rover Roaring Fork for a test drive of any vehicle in stock!
